• Manchester Play - has been established by Early Years & Play, a division of the newly formed Children, Families & Social Care within Manchester City Council, to provide support to open access and play care groups in Manchester. Manchester Play is also able to provide information to anyone looking for play activities in Manchester as well as those seeking information on how play is provided in Manchester. Manchester Play provides support, information, training and resources to organisations offering play opportunities to children aged up to 14 years. There is a very large community of play providers in Manchester who exist in the non profit making voluntary sector, and who provide high quality, varied play activities for children of all ages. This site is dedicated to those involved in providing children in Manchester with somewhere to go and something to do in their free time. We hope this site will show what they do as well as how and where they do it, and for those who want to get involved, there's information to get you started and keep you going!

• New Century Family Gardens - was previously a desolate croft situated behind four rows of terraced housing in east Manchester. The residents of this area never went out there because it was abused by thugs to burn stolen cars, people fly tipping, drug addicts and general criminal activity. There was broken glass and rubble strewn about, it was horrible. A group of residents set about making the change, they approached local government with their ideas and managed to obtain several financial grants in order to achieve their dreams. We now have a strong community spirit returned to the area and have been very successful in further projects to enhance the garden since. Its our hidden gem!

The company is responsible for the delivery of the Small Business Service (SBS) commitment to social enterprise development across Greater Manchester.
