Citizens Advice Trafford - is a member of the "Citizens Advice" national association and works within the association's aims and principles, which are To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively and equally To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services both locally and nationally. We provide advice and information services across the Borough of Trafford through a number of contact methods. We also provide specialist advice in the areas of Welfare Benefits and Debt through out contract with the Legal Services Commission. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who undergo a thorough and comprehensive training program. The volunteer staff is supported by a professional staff team who provide supervision, training, specialist advice and management. Oversight and governance are provided by a trustee board of elected representatives from the local community, and the quality of our advice, management and governance is regularly inspected and audited independently.

Waterside Art Centre - was opened in April 2004 by Sarah Mills, wife of Robert Bolt. The first artistic programme was launched in November 2004. The centre comprimises of The Robert Bolt Theatre (350 seats), The Lauriston Gallery, The Chambers, Corridor Community Arts Project and a variety of studios and workshop spaces. The centre also programme events on the outdoor plaza area. e complex forms part of Sale Waterside, which houses Trafford Council offices, Trafford Direct, Sale Library, Youth Shop,Oca Restaurant and the Waterside Bar. The development is part of a unique PFI (Private Funded Inititive) between Cofathec and Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council. The site of Waterside Arts Centre was originally Sale Civic Theatre which was an important facility for residents of Sale and Trafford. The centre was rebuilt and updated and was 10 years in the planning, Waterside is now seen as a major touring venue for visual and performing arts, whilst offering a wide range of resources to the local community. Waterside Arts Centre is also home to Touchdown Dance Company and has been a regular venue for Open Door Theatre Company, DoDecka Dance, Sale Nomads Theatre Club and many local dance companies. Our season brochure is produced twice a year (March-August and September-February) and is packed with a host of events, including drama, dance, music, comedy, film, exhibitions, workshops and classes.
