Blackpool Citizen's Advice Bureau - is a registered charity. We are part of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux (NACAB), which provides training, information, and other essential support services to its network of 700 Citizens Advice Bureaux in England and Wales. From its launch in 1939 Blackpool Citizens Advice Bureau has grown into a professional, trusted local advice service for the community. Today the bureau deals with thousands of clients every year on a range of subjects too diverse to list. The main query areas are housing, benefits, employment and debt. The service is staffed mainly by a team of fully-trained volunteer advisers, backed up by a dedicated support staff. We are always looking for more volunteers
The Blackpool Civic Trust - was formed in February 1975 with the intention of encouraging and supporting the town of Blackpool and its people. Our objectives and aims are to stimulate a sense of Civic pride, to promote high standards of planning and architecture and to secure the preservation, protection and improvement of features of historical or public interest. The Trust is a non-political, non-sectarian organization serving only the interests of the people.

Streetlife - If you find yourself homeless in Blackpool at night, you can try to access our overnight shelter, which is a new building with a sloping roof attached to St. Johns Church, opposite the Winter Gardens on Church Street. You don’t need to be homeless to come in and see us. You might be having problems with finding work; you might want help with your benefits; you might have issues around alcohol or drug use; you might have somewhere to live but want to find somewhere different. These are just a few reasons why people come to Streetlife. Whatever your situation, we will welcome you. |
